Since the election I’ve asked myself a lot of questions. Do I erase my digital footprint? (probably not possible). Do I need to worry my husband is first generation and his French mother was not a US citizen at the time of his birth? Are her papers in order? Do we need to apply for dual citizenship? Can I still teach shamanism and marketing for healers? and here’s the reason why….
Did you know that in Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution (and then communism) shamanism was outlawed?*
Shamans killed.
Drums hidden.
Ancient methods of healing outlawed.
Shamans finally came out of hiding some eighty years later during the fall of communism in the 1990’s. You may be saying “that will never happen.” At this moment we don’t know how “the Othering” is going to play out.
My work as a shamanic teacher is teaching you how to come out into the world with your spiritual gifts, talents and capacities with ease and joy. Helping you heal from past trauma (this life and others) so you recognize your intuitive gifts from spirit while planting seeds of inspiration.
I will continue to do that work while carrying a drum and singing my healing songs. An important part of this endeavor is creating safe places for you (healers, teachers, mentors) to gather and speak your truth without fear of retribution.
Are we traveling together as allies? You have my back and I have yours. It’s important we care for each other. If you align politically with the latest winner in the US elections then we have a conflict. If you voted:
- To take away my rights as a woman, the rights of the LGTBQ community…marginalized people.
- For normalizing a felon and serial abuser (who’s now loading his cabinet with abusers)
- For a theocracy aka Project 2025- historically one of the biggest annihilators of astrologers, healers and witches.
That is your choice. Truth is my work is not aligned with your values.
